New Lipsticks!

Hey everyone!

Today I'm doing a beauty review on two lipsticks from a brand that I had previously never used.
So the inspiration for using this brand came from one of my friends who was using one of these lipsticks and looked absolutely stunning. So I had to try it out for myself.
The brand is Gerard Cosmetics, I bought these two lipsticks through the website Beauty Bay which is www.beautybay.com
from there I just searched brands in the menu.

The first lipstick is a long wearing full coverage lipstick in the shade London Fog.

The packaging itself is stunning it comes in a gold package with the logo printed on and shaped like a bullet... I know all of you are going to think the same thing I did when I first saw it but get your mind out of the gutter!

Haha see what I mean!
So I opened it and was blown away, seriously it looks like velvet and it's got shimmering, iridescent flecks in it, genuinely the most beautiful thing! I didn't even want to use it because it was so pretty!

It is a little bit sheer so I had to go over my lips a few times to get the look that I wanted, it feels like velvet on your lips, I haven't worn it for a full day or night yet but I would think it would need to be topped up during the night but who minds that when it looks amazing.
I found the colour looked amazing like a grey/purple I also think it would suit a variety of skin tones!

Ultimately extremely pleased with this, love the colour, love the application and love the moisturising feel that it gives to your lips! +1 from me!

The next lipstick is a hydra matte liquid lipstick, that nourishes while it's on. I got it in the shade Immortal.

The packaging on this product is like other liquid lip products like lipsticks or glosses but still had the gold colouring with the logo printed on.

Opened it up and it had a little sponge applicator which gathers quite a lot of product, the colour is so vibrant but does have a little bit of a chemical smell to it but not so much that it's off putting, at least you know that chemical fragrances are not added unnecessarily!

I put it on and one swipe of the applicator and my bottom lip was done! It felt great going on and the colour was so pigmented, it only took about 15 seconds to dry completely and when it did it was definitely matte, it looked great! I've always stayed away from matte lip products because my lips can get quite dry but it did not feel drying to my lips at all.

I haven't used this for a full day or night either but it passed the kiss test no residue and let me tell you that colour was not budging it took me a while to get it completely off, so you can look at that as either a positive or negative but personally I think that's great it does what it is supposed to.

Both of these products were very reasonably priced at €11.30
The one flaw I found was the shipping time, I was quoted 5-7 days but it took a little over 2 weeks, but that won't stop me from ordering again.
All in all very happy with both of these products and I can't wait to wear them out for a full night and see how they hold up!
Thank you guys so much for reading hope you enjoyed, also new exciting blog post coming up... I got a new tattoo so I will be doing a post on my experience with that, so keep a look out for that.

See you next time.

Glossybox first impression

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog, today I decided to do a first impression.

For a long long time I have been wanting to subscribe to a monthly beauty box but kept putting it off.
I started watching YouTube videos of different unboxing and review videos and I was torn between ipsy and glossybox, so I decided to take the plunge and do a monthly subscription with glossybox.... Sure what can I lose??
So for €18 you get 5 sample size products from makeup to skin and hair care.
From the time I ordered the box it took under 2 weeks.
I was amazed by the packaging, I've seen it so many times in videos but it just looks so much better in person!
And that pastel pink is just so recognizable!
The packaging was just so pretty it was almost a shame to open it.... Almost.
So once I was finished admiring the packaging and also thinking about how bad I am at wrapping presents I opened it up.

The first item I noticed was the makeup brush which I was thrilled about, it's a gorgeous rose gold contour brush from the brand Luxie, which I had never heard of but I am so excited to try.

And along with that the second item I noticed was the illuminator and bronzer duo by So Susan, I opened the packaging and the smell of chocolate was overwhelming almost good enough to eat! This product will be perfect for summer as it gives you a subtle bronze tint with a bright highlight that will be enhanced by the sun, fingers crossed we will get some sun this summer, I am really excited to try this out with the Luxie brush.

The next item is a two part item, shampoo and conditioner by -417 full of minerals to give your hair a pampering and claims to hydrate your hair and leave it looking lustrous and gleaming, the packaging is extremely eye catching with a gold and silver theme.

I definitely feel like I'll have hair like one of the Kardashians after using these!

The next two items were skin care based with a facial serum infused with honey and propolis by Hey Honey and a skin tone perfecting cream by Olay. I was hoping to get some skin care items because my skin is going through a weird stage of being dry and oily at the same time, I'm definitely going to give these a go and see if they will work with my skin type which is combination.

I am very pleased with my glossybox and am delighted that I finally decided to take the plunge and order one, I'll definitely be keeping my subscription and will be looking forward to next months box.
I'll give these products a go and report back to you on how I get on!
If your thinking of subscribing to a monthly beauty box I would recommend glossybox from my experience, 5 beauty products for €18 a month you can't do much better than that!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog and maybe it has helped you make a decision on a beauty box subscription.
Have a wonderful week,
See you all in my next blog.

Essential pet accessories!

Hey everyone, today I'm talking about an essential pet accessory, I hope you enjoy!

When you think of pet accessories you think of collars, leads, food bowls and beds, but a pet essential that can be forgotten about or sometimes not known about is a microchip.

What is it? A microchip is an identifying device that is implanted under your pets skin at the base of their neck using a needle, the chip itself is about the same size as a large grain of rice and holds an identification number that is unique to each pet.

Your pets unique number is then entered onto a database with your own information which means that if your pet ever got lost and they were microchipped their unique number can be checked on the database by scanning the chip and then reunited with you!

From 2015 dog microchips have become compulsory, puppies over 3 months are required to be chipped by September 2015 and all adult dogs need to be chipped by March 2016.

Proof of ID and proof of address is required when bringing your dog to get microchipped.
Vets and veterinary nurses can implant the chip, no anaesthesia is required. It is a very simple procedure that is very quick and will last your pet throughout his or her lifetime.

Thousands of pets get lost each year, if your pet is microchipped you have a much higher chance of being reunited with them again.

Thank you for reading, I hope this helps people who may of not known about pet microchips!

Urban Decay and Benefit Review

Hey everyone!
Welcome back to my blog, today I am going to be doing a beauty review on three different make up products-
I hope you all enjoy!

So the first product that I am going to talk about is the Benefit Gimme Brow eyebrow gel.
The shade that I chose was the medium/dark, which suited my hair colour better than the lighter shade.
Like a mascara it has a small brush to apply the gel, not only does it brush onto the hairs but also onto the skin under the eyebrows and the brush allows precision application for the baby hairs to give you fuller and thicker looking brows.
It is blendable and buildable to transfer your look from day to night,
It's quick, easy and very natural looking, I have used a variety of brow gels but they end up making my brows look and feel heavy but this glides on and doesn't make your brows feel stiff.

I start by brushing the gel on the outter  edge of my brow and brush upward to give me a fuller brow.

The second product I am going to talk about is the Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder.
This is a pressed powder made from oil absorbing rice powder, it also has gorgeous packaging.
This powder helps keep your skin shine free, I have been looking for a pressed powder that works for the longest time because I have really oily skin mostly along my t zone, I would put on powder and an hour later my face is like a shiny beacon.... Ok maybe it's not that bad but I do suffer with oily skin!
I tried this for the first time and was amazed 5 hours later and no shine!
Not only does it work for me extraordinarily well but it also comes with a mirror and a pad for application so you can use it on the go!
It is also suitable for all skin tones.
When I am applying this in the morning I use a big fluffy brush instead of the powder pad, I then use the pad on the go. Even if you don't suffer from oily skin it gives you an overall matte finish.

For the third and final product I am going to talk about another Urban Decay product and that is the Sheer Revolution Lipstick.
The shade that I chose was Sheer F-bomb which is red/pink shade.
This lipstick is great for a day to night look it is sheer but not sticky like a lot of lip glosses are, it is very creamy and feels lovely on the lips, it applies really easy and gives a lovely high shine finish. It hydrates your lips throughout the day which gives them a fuller look. Again I'm in love with the packaging.

As a day look it can be applied on its own and as a night look I applied red lip liner and placed this lipstick on top the pigment is great and I have found that I don't have to re-apply nearly as often as I usually would with a lipstick.

Each as these products I would definitely repurchase all of these products can be bought online, I purchased them in my local Debenhams.

Benefit Gimme Brow - €25.50
Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder - €24.00
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick- €19.00

I hope you all enjoyed and may of gotten an idea if these products will suit you.

Get Ready With Me.. Date Night

Hey guys I decided to do a get ready with me for date night!
I hope you all enjoy!

I am going to do a step by step guide of how I did my makeup, I used mainly drugstore products.
I started off with a clean face with only Aveeno moisturiser.

Foundation is complete what I used was the dermalogica age smart primer, I placed that all over my face to provide a base for my makeup, I then used essence 16hr concealer for under my eyes and also any problematic areas I blended that in using my beauty blender, I then applied my NYX foundation in the lightest shade and blended that in with my beauty blender.

For the next step I then applied my contour and highlight to give my face definition, I applied the contour to the sides of my nose the sides of my forehead, just under my cheek bones and around my jaw line, I then applied the highlight down the bridge of my nose above my cheek bones on my Cupid's bow and just under my lips I then blended that out and added more highlight just above my cheek bones for added shine, I used the sleek contour palette and the No 7 skin illuminator.

From there I applied eyeshadow to give a small bit of definition, I used my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette I used W.O.S all over my lid as a base, I then used naked 2 in my crease and faint in the outter corner of my lid and under my waterline.

I then applied my liquid eyeliner by Essence, for a cheap eyeliner this works extremely well and is very precise! I then used my Catrice lash boost which attaches fibres to your lashes to make them thicker and longer and then my favourite mascara Doll Eye by NYX.
I then set everything with my matte finish setting spray from NYX

For my hair then I parted my hair down the middle and took one inch sections and curled them using my ghd curve

For my outfit I picked a grey, high neck cropped top from H&M in size 6

Black leather look leggings from Boohoo in size 6

And for my shoes backless heeled leather look boots from Boohoo in size 5

And for the finished look.
Hope you enjoyed and may have gotten some inspiration!
